Identify societal microbiological problems and propose solutions through explorative research by validation and scientific experimentation. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the scientific principles and apply these to develop projects in a multidisciplinary environment. Acquiring the ability to identify, investigate, understand and analyze complex problems pertaining to industries and identify effective solution strategies for implementation. BSc Microbiology is a three-year undergraduate course that comprises the study of microorganisms, this includes various organisms like a unicellular, cluster of microscopic animals, viruses, bacteria, and fungi. This discipline is a key component of the various research in biochemistry and pathology. LPU offers B.Sc. (Hons.) Microbiology. Eligibility Criteria of this course is that candidate must be passed with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Biotechnology) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. 5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants. LPU ranked 23rd amongst government and private universities of India as per the times higher education world ranking 2023.
