Cabin Crew Enrolment : Sir/Madam, I would like to ask about the career as a cabin crew. What should I do after I finish my 12th (Arts) to become a cabin crew member?

Dear student,

Generally, there is no formal education qualification required to become a cabin crew member. You should keep a lookout on various advertisements put out by different airlines and if you get selected, they will train you accordingly. However, it is always good to have a formal education in the field as it may help you grow faster in your career.

IATA offers a Diploma in Aviation Studies and Safety Management for Airlines course, which trains you in the specifics of our job requirement. Since IATA is a recognized body, it is a good idea to do this course. Who knows, perhaps you will get a job with international airlines!! The best part about this course is that it is a distance learning course, so you can do it at your convenience.

Some other colleges offering a course in Cabin Crew & In-Flight Services Management in India include:

  • Pearl Academy
  • Skylark Institute Of Travel & Tourism
  • Indian Institute of Aviation
