Can I do ph.ed in management after pgdm from IMT GHAZIABAD?

Hi…. I don’t have any idea about the eligibility for PhD this institute. Well, a PhD is the most exploring level of one's career. The researcher is expected to identify the research gaps, formulate objectives, develop methodologies for finding solutions to real life problems. At LPU, as per the present guidelines of the university, to take admission the candidate must have the required % score in post-graduation in a relevant discipline and has to qualify for LPUNEST followed by an interview. The minimum post-graduation score required is 55%. You can apply online for a PhD. Programme at https://admission.lpu.in/ and no need to visit campus personally for application purpose. Lovely Professional University is conducting National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) for the PhD aspirants. Research Scholars studying in Post-Graduation can apply for LPUNEST (PhD). This test will have a twofold advantage as it will act as Entrance Test as well as Scholarship Test.

The course covers different ways of writing and presentation of research including a research paper, research proposal, State of Art Seminar, etc. Applicants who qualify UGC (NET/ JRF)/ CSIR (NET/ JRF)/ ICAR (JRF/ SRF) examination/ SLET (Punjab only)/ GATE/ GPAT score card/ ICAR (NET), SPM, Teacher Fellowship holder or passed M.Phil. (in regular mode only) are exempted from LPUNEST (Ph.D.) entrance test (GATE/ GPAT score should be valid at the time of admission). The final selection for admission in Ph.D. is based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview. However, if anyone is exempted from the LPUNEST (Ph.D.) entrance test instead of the above-mentioned tests, then 100% weightage will be given to the Interview only. Unless otherwise specified by the University, the medium of instruction, course work, examination, question paper, synopsis, and the thesis will be English in all cases. Highlights Teaching fellowship of Rs. 15600/- per month may be provided to full-time Ph.D. scholars subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

Let me tell you the eligibility criteria of ph.d in management here in LPU, the applicant need to Pass with 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grades prescribed by UGC in the Master's Degree* (2 year or 4 semester Master’s Degree after a 3 year Bachelor’s Degree #) or equivalent in the relevant subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview. or Completed Company Secretary (CS) with 55% marks from Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview # Candidate who has completed 1 year or 2 semester Master's Degree* after a 4 year or 8 semester Bachelor’s Degree is also eligible provided the candidate should have a minimum of 75% marks in 4 year or 8 semester Bachelor’s Degree in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed. * in MBA or M.Sc. (Management or M.Com or MIB or MFC or PGDBM (2years) equivalent to Master Degree by AIU or equivalent (A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.)

Dear Anupriya,

Yes you are eligible to pursue Ph.D after your PGDM course. However, the admission will be on the basis of your research proposal and synopsis.
