Lovely Professional University is a good private university for the Civil Engineering programme. LPU offers BTech, MTech, and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. One of my best friends completed both BTech and MTech in Civil Engineering from LPU. He got placement as well while studying there. Now he has started his own business of construction and earning well. Recently, he told me that he is planning for a part-time Ph.D. from LPU itself in Civil Engineering. As a passout of LPU Mechanical Engineering I had multiple opportunities to hop in the School of Civil Engineering which was adjacent to our school and due to many events played together I had few friends in civil engineering too who are well placed in overseas construction company. LPU is one of the best institutes for engineering in the state of Punjab. So if a degree in B. Tech (Civil engineering) is what you seek, I suggest that you do consider LPU. I have sound reasons to actually make this suggestion. Firstly, at LPU, B. Tech in civil engineering course involves so much more than theoretical know-how. In addition to classroom lectures, students here learn via hands-on experiences which include site visits, lab sessions and so on. PPTs, animations and similar technological techniques are a regular part of classroom teaching too. Also, LPU has one of the best educational infrastructures in the nation. The laboratories are designed to enable various assessments like soil testing, cement testing, concrete testing etc. As far as placement is concerned, LPU has a good track record here too, with names such as CVENT and Cleanmax Solar among the participating firms.
