Dear Sir, If a person wants to claim SNQ Quota (Income below 1,20,000 per annum), is Form 3B required with a separate income certificate or will the same Form " F " suffice, which is a Caste and Income certificate?

Dear Student,

For claiming the SNQ quota (income below ₹1,20,000 per annum), what matters is proof of income from a competent authority. If your Form “F” (Caste and Income Certificate) clearly mentions your annual income and is valid for the current year, it is usually sufficient, and a separate Form 3B is not required. However, if the income details are missing, unclear, or outdated in Form “F,” then you must provide a separate income certificate (such as Form 3B or an equivalent format issued by the revenue authority). Also, some counseling authorities or states may specifically ask for a separate income certificate regardless of Form “F.” In such cases, you must follow their instructions strictly. In short, Form “F” is enough only if it properly includes valid income details; otherwise, a separate income certificate is required.
