The LPU programme comes with the Pathway electives for CORPORATE JOBS: FOOD INDUSTRY WASTE MANAGEMENT This course will provide the information for the tools and techniques used for waste management in food industry. INDUSTRIAL MICROBIOLOGY Develop an understanding of role microorganism in the fermentation and its industrial importance. PROJECT PREPARATION AND MANAGEMENT The course emphasizes on the importance of Project Management in a business and enable to use tools and techniques for decision making. RISK ANALYSIS The course will expose the students to various risks encountered during handling, processing and storage of food and methods to analyze the risks involved and their remedy. FLAVOR CHEMISTRY TECHNOLOGY The course will help the students to understand the Science behind the art of flavoring foods, their analysis, the problem of off-flavours and the reasons thereof, development of flavours for specific applications, and legal aspects on use of flavours in food products.

Higher studies- This pathway prepares students for competitive examinations such as GATE UGC NET CAT MAT etc. And helps in their progression in higher studies / research. LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn maximum. The students also work on live projects, so that they are able to apply their knowledge to practical settings. The eligibility for B Tech in Food Technology is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.
