Hello, I have come across some allegations of irregularities and malpractices in the functioning of Mewar University! Is Mewar University Rajasthan approved by UGC?

Hello Manoj, there was an allegation back in 2015 on Mewar University regarding granting degrees on behalf of  institutes like Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) and Institute of Apparel Management (IAM). UGC officials cleared that there is no provision for any private university to grant degrees on behalf of any franchise institute or sign MoUs on its behalf. UGC also warned Mewar University to stick to the norms. Since then, no such reports on  irregularities and malpractices in the functioning of Mewar University have come up. Mewar University is approved by UGC u/s 12B of the UGC Act vide their letter No. F. 9-15/2009 (CPP-I/PU) dated October, 15, 2018.
