In order to pursue a career in English Literature, you should go with MA in English. There are many universities that offer MA in English. Being a part of LPU, I can share Information regarding this course in LPU. The program in MA English focuses on literary analysis and criticism of English literature with an intellectual journey through poetry, theatre and fiction. The programme also trains students in creative and journalistic writing. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 50%aggregate marksin Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or equivalent. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE COURSE Requisites & Conditions for International Exposure Option · Separate fee for study tourwill be charged and informed at the time of giving the option. The study tour may include the provision of travel, boarding, lodging and vegetarian meal as per stipulated itinerary; and any other expenses for undertaking the tour shall be borne by the student himself. · In certain eventualities beyond the control of the country, tour may be shifted to other country such as Canada/Australia. · If student is not able to get Visa or fulfill any formality by the prescribed date for the purpose of visiting and staying in the host country, as decided by the University for international exposure or could not undertake the tour due to any other reason including Family/health problem,then he will not be entitled to claim any other option or refund or compensation in any manner whatsoever. · Student shall pay the fee and other charges payable to the University for the remaining duration of the programme before going fort our abroad.

The eligibility is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in graduation (any discipline) or equivalent. 5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defense Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants) (10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (i.e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship, Subject to verification from Selection committee* of the University) * Selection committee comprises Head (DSW), Director Sports, Dy. Director Sports, Concerned Coach and VC Nominee. The has Industry Interface Tie-ups with industry content delivery by industry experts Projects in collaboration with industry Internships to engage deeply in hands-on real-life situations Undergraduate Research: A student can avail an option of undergraduate research to go beyond the obvious. The Student going for the research option will have to study four courses as Open Minor or Generic elective courses and the final year Capstone project of the UnderGraduate will also be associated with the research options.
