Being a student at LPU, I'm well-equipped to address your query. To be entirely candid, I had the same question when I applied for admission at LPU. However, I conducted thorough research about the university, sought insights from senior students and relatives, and received overwhelmingly positive feedback. When I finally joined the university, I was truly impressed by the caliber of the professors and the educational environment. The majority of the professors hold doctorates, and to my amazement, in my second semester, I had the privilege of receiving lectures from a senior editor and journalist from The Times of India, who was an exceptional educator. LPU boasts a remarkable roster of high-quality teachers who are dedicated to mentoring and guiding students. When it comes to examinations and assignments, LPU maintains strict standards. Each semester, students are required to submit 3-4 assignments, and these assignments contribute to the final marks. LPU also places great emphasis on attendance, with 75% attendance being mandatory to sit for exams. Even if your attendance is at 74.9%, it won't be considered. Additionally, LPU frequently hosts guest lectures. I recently had the opportunity to attend 2 to 3 lecture classes by a senior editor from the Press Trust of India (PTI), which was a significant learning experience. LPU regularly invites prominent individuals for seminars; for instance, I had the chance to meet and be mentored by Mr. Anand Kumar, known for his work with Super 30. There are numerous similar examples of such opportunities. The professors at LPU are always available to assist students, even offering doubt-clearing classes for those who require additional support. LPU places a strong emphasis on practical learning, and organizing events that enhance analytical skills and knowledge through seminars. What's remarkable is that students often organize these events, providing them with opportunities to showcase their talents, whether it's in anchoring, dancing, or event management. At LPU, you'll find daily events and seminars, offering ample exposure to various forms of knowledge. Regarding resources, the LPU library is open until 12:00 a.m., and during exam periods, it extends its hours until 2:00 a.m., allowing students to study in a conducive environment. Furthermore, LPU has earned recognition as one of the "Top Six Promising Universities of The Country" by India Today. It is also consistently ranked among the top universities in India in more than 20 prestigious research and ranking assessments. LPU has a huge campus and provides all the necessary amenities to its students. LPU curriculum is vast, almost 8–10 exams per semester, It requires rigorous hard work to compete and 75% attendance is a must for giving exams else you will get debarred. One more thing that I like about LPU is fully online, as in, all your attendance, mark sheets, syllabus, class schedules everything is available online and you don't have to line up in the queue to get something done. When I was seeking college for admission for my graduation, I was quite confused. I recently graduated from lpu and I want to tell you that the answer posted by yatin is completely unethical. I have completed my engineering degree and honestly its one of the best university in terms of academics, infrastructure, oniline management system, faculties, security amd administrative systems. Lpu is the university where student from other states as well as from various other countries pursue their career option. Like every coin has two sides so has lpu. There are students who indulge in many activities which is completely unbearable, it may be alcholic or something else. This is not only in punjab but also in various other universties or institutions in any part of the world. We cannot blame any particular university for such cases. University is there for the grant of students and of course any institutions or university never want its student to be drug addicts. So let come to my point how lpu is good in terms study First and foremost aspect of lpu is that throught your degree a single class will not missed by any teacher. However if any faculty is absent an adjustment or makeup will be arranged for the same. The best part of lpu is UMS(university management system), everything happening in lpu from your academic details to current events is stored online in database. Every student and faculty is given a unique id to access the ums. Moreover parents are also provided with ums id and password to periodically look after the academic details of their children. Every bit of information whether the child is attending the class regularly or not can be seen. So altogether LPU has transparency. Other than core subjects university provides social, open and minor elective subjects for all round develpoment so that a student should not be lacking in any aspects. Placements are also very good. Last year more than 300 companies came for recruitment for various job profiles. This is all about the studies in lpu and you can check the achievements of lpu in its official page(lpu.in). As an academician I have been comparing and analyzing curriculums and pedagogies of various institutes. While analyzing LPU’s complete curriculum I personally like d three things about it:- 1. The complete curriculum, assessment pattern, marking scale, feedback and analysis etc are very transparent. Everything what they do is on UMS and is accessible to students. So there are negligible chances of duplicity. 2. Curriculum is designed according to the industry specifications and are updated time to time to match up with the current pace. 3. The content is very student friendly and works on the practical model, like Live Projects, Simulations, trainings and internships are all part of the active curriculums.
