It depends on your percentage of marks in Class 12th. The below examples will help you in a better way -

Example 1: If Student 'A' scored 95% of marks in Class 12th and he applied for admission in Kotawala College. No other student with above 95% applied to this college. While preparing the merit list Student A will be given the first position in the merit list.

Example 2: If Student 'B' scored 90% in Class 12th and he applied for admission to Kotawala College. Almost six students more than 90% applied to this college. Then student 'B' will get 8th position in the merit list.

The minimum closing marks for selection can be around 60%. However, it depends on the reservation policy and the number of seats.
