Since the institution is now a government organisation, the selection process has been designed to ensure that outsiders (those from outside of Tamil Nadu) are not given any seats. To be honest, it was pretty simple a few years ago (4 to 5 years). I mean that just 50 to 75 of the 1000 B.Sc. seats at Annamalai University will be allocated to outsiders. Yes, that is how it is right now. Other than that, I think the choosing procedure is rather straightforward. All it takes is an announcement in the major newspapers, entrance exam registration, hall passes, an entrance exam, a merit list, and certificate verification. You are granted admission to the course for which you have applied; this information is often made public in April or May.
