Dear Student,
The maximum number of times a candidate is allowed to attempt the IAS exam depends on the category of the candidate.
For General/Unreserved Candidate: 6 attempts (or till 32 years of age is reached)
For OBC Candidate: 9 attempts (or till 35 years of age is reached)
For SC/ST Candidate: Unlimited (or till 37 years of age is reached)
