Hi, Without any doubt, LPU is the best option for Agriculture. LPU becomes India’s first Private University to get ICAR Accreditation. ICAR co-ordinates agricultural education and research in the country under the aegis of the Department of Agricultural Research & Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (Government of India), where Union Minister of Agriculture is its President. LPU provides special inputs to the students in the form of placement classes to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Students also go for on-job training (OJT) where they are paid stipend too. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement with the help of a dedicated Division of Career Services. Students have got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of Agriculture branch are placed in Dhanuka, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio Seed, Nestle, Smur Agro, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics, VLCC Health care, and many more at an average package unto 4.5 LPA. Students can attain positions as Agriculture Inspectors, Agriculture Officers, POs, Food Quality Inspectors, Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Technical Assistants, and administrative posts in government and non-government organizations. Dear Student, B.Sc Agriculture is one of the most booming course these days. This program equips students with all-round knowledge of sector and normally includes the following: Agronomy: Basics of Agronomy, Kharif and Rabi Crop, Crop Protection, Weed Management, Irrigation Techniques, Water Resource Management, Organic Farming, Sustainable Agriculture. LPU has Hons program in same as B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture, which is a 4 year course in total. I will highlight some of the features. LPU is the first private University to get ICAR accreditation. The faculty is well qualified and most of them are Ph. Ds and provide full support to the students. The best thing is the University does not compromise with the academics as all the lectures are held and if a faculty wants a leave either the makeup lectures are planned or adjustments are provided for that particular slot. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. University provides additional placement oriented classes and students also studied subjects like analytical skills, soft skills, etcetera as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms. For more details visit www.lpu .in and connect to LPU admission counselors on 1800-102-4431.

If we see the placements for Agriculture students, LPU takes the cake. Last year in a first for Agriculture institutions across the country, Kavita Faman a LPU student secured a package of INR 1 CRORE with a food processing international major Monsanto LLc. Always remember, your placement is on basis of two things: 1. How much you have learned from your degree and how much you can apply in the realtime situations in your job. 2. The initial platform which is provided by a college of high repute. in this case LPU Over 700 companies are regular to campus for recruitment offering anywhere between 5 lacs to 1 crore per annum. Agriculture, being one of the flagship programs in LPU attracts hordes of recruiters for various positions. Some great companies for recruitment are: Syngenta, Reliance Fresh, Dhanuka, Nestle , Amul , VLCC and Haldirams etc. So the placement scene for agri graduates is vibrant. Within a short period of 15 years LPU has excelled i every sphere of education it has entered into including agriculture. You must make a informed choice. Wish you all the best. DVD
