ICAR : If i failed to pass ICAR entrance exam can I get admission in central agricultural university (cau)?

Dear Student,

The admission criteria to the Central Agricultural University does not solely depend on the ICAR results. Much of it will also depend on the candidate's domicile status, course applied for and other factors. For details check below:

Central Agricultural University Imphal Admission 2017-18:-

  • Based on the population of each constituent state, intake quota has been fixed for undergraduate programmes for different states and admission is given to the candidates sponsored by the respective states based on the common entrance test.
  • In addition to states’ quota, 15% of the seats for undergraduate programmes are filled up by the ICAR/VCI nominations, based on all-India entrance examination.
  • The postgraduate seats to the extent of 75% are filled by the university, based on the merit in qualifying degree, whereas, 25% seats are earmarked for ICAR candidates on the basis of all-India entrance test.
  • The Ph.D. seats are filled on the basis of merit in entrance examination.
