Dear Student,

To be eligible for IIIT Hyderabad’s Undergraduate Entrance Examination (UGEE) in 2025, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects. Additionally, candidates are required to have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in PCM. This criterion is mandatory for applying and appearing in UGEE, which is the entrance exam for the institute’s dual degree programmes (B.Tech + Master of Science by Research). Since the requirement specifies a 60% aggregate in PCM, if your aggregate is 58%, you generally do not meet the official eligibility criteria for UGEE. However, it is advisable to verify the official UGEE brochure or contact the admissions office of IIIT Hyderabad directly to confirm if any relaxations or exceptions are applicable in your case. Meeting the 60% aggregate threshold in PCM remains the safest eligibility benchmark to ensure a valid application for UGEE. We hope that we were able to answer your query successfully. All the best for a great future ahead!
