The admission for an ECG Technician's course is generally on the basis of an entrance test and an interview. But this may vary from institute to institute. About 40% seats are reserved for Female candidates. A degree course will take 3 years to complete, whereas a certificate course will be a 6 - 10 months duration. 

Eligibility Criteria: 

• You should have passed higher secondary education or 10+2 with Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics as subjects at intermediate level from any recognized institute/university with a minimum of 50% marks
• Gain experience in the Healthcare field
• Complete on-the-job Training or an EKG Technician Program
• Obtain certification & complete further training

Fees for ECG Technician Course:

• If you study from a government institute, the annual cost will be between Rs. 20, 000 - Rs. 1 lakh
• If you study from a private institute, the annual cost will start from Rs. 50, 000 onwards

Pay Structure of an ECG Technician:

• For Medical doctors - starting from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 8,000 (average) per month in the government sector 
• For X-ray technicians - starting from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 8000 (average) per month
• For junior level therapists  - starting from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 5,500 (average) per month 
• Jobs in the private sector are lucrative. With experience and skills, you can easily reach higher levels
