Is there any ragging on the ADYPU campus?

Hi.... Ragging is strictly prohibited in every institute. In view of UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions, ragging is strictly prohibited in LPU and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging,whether actively or passively, or being a part of a conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be proceeded against in accordance with UGC Regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions and under the provisions of any penal law or any other law, university ordinances/ rules etc. for the time being in force and such action would include but is not limited to debarment or explulsion of such student. Strict measures have been taken by LPU to avoid ragging. Anti ragging committees have been constituted and the contact numbers are provided at the LPU website. Apart from Helpline number, the students may also contact the university officials . 24 X 7 X 365 security is available and CCTVs are installed at all prominent locations throughout the campus. Security is in the hands of experienced security staff. Manned by over 400 full time security officials, thousands of security cameras. One or more of the these punishments depending on the nature and the gravity of the guilt established, may be awarded to the student found guilty of ragging, namely suspension from attending classes and academic privileges, Withholding/ withdrawing scholarship/ fellowship and other benefits, Debarring from appearing in any test/ examination or other evaluation process, Withholding results, Debarring form representing the university in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival etc,. Suspension/ Expulsion from the hostel, Cancellation of admission, Rustication from the university for period ranging from one to four semesters, Expulsion from the university and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution for a specified period: provided that where the persons committing or abetting the act of ragging are not identified, the university may resort to collective punishment. LPU is one of the safest campuses in the world. LPU has zero tolerance to Ragging, Alcohol, smoking, drug and disciplinary misconduct. So there is no need to fear about anything. You can join LPU without giving any second thought.

ADYPU has a strict policy against ragging and the college takes strict action against any student who is found to be involved in ragging activities. The university also has anti-ragging squads who prevent any ragging incident and ensure that the ADYPU campus is ragging-free.
