if I talk about BSc Agriculture at LPU, before proceeding I want to assert that LPU is the first private university in India that has got the ICAR accreditation which is a huge milestone that LPU has got in Science field. Undoubtedly, studying BSc agriculture in LPU will give an upper edge to the students because of robust curriculum and the space area which they provide for agricultural practises. Further, LPU also provides numerous scholarships and benefits of it can be availed by students. As I am an alumnus of LPU from science background I, have visited the greenhouse and agricultural fields, which I must say are very vast and the on-going projects are significant and impactful. LPU also offers various career pathways and depending upon students’ calibre the guidance is provided accordingly. In summation I would strongly recommend LPU for pursuing BSc agriculture as LPU moulds each person in such a way so that one can fit in this competitive world.

LPU is the first private University in India which is ICAR accredited by ICAR. There are some private colleges in Maharashtra also which you can admission through payment as far i listened they are not up to mark. When coming to facultys in LPU most of the faculty will be PhD candidates they are good at teaching and very helpful for the students. Unlike govt universitys faculty's cannot skip the lectures in Lpu . At the end of the semester faculty need to cover the skipped lectures too by conducting extra makeup classes. Research work is not upto mark in Lpu as lpu started Agriculture recently as BSC Agriculture concerned it won't effect much. Placements - LPU is trying to get placements . companies visited are Tata Rallis, NCDEX, dhanuka ,smur Agro, pragya, Reliance etc , UPL But don't come to LPU expecting placements not everyone will get placed this is the same scenario in govt universitys also. But lpu trains you for placements by conducting placement classes. It will train your for Group discussions and personal interview and will focus on improving you communication skills and reducing your state fear which most govt also doesn't not teach like Lpu. Lpu also conducts classes for the students who want to prepare for masters from 3rd year onwards. In Lpu you can do internships ,job from final year onwards unlike other govt universitys .for govt universitys you are not allowed from 4th year. You can do job/ internship from 4th year itself. Diversity will be more in Lpu you can make friends from almost all states and few countries too. When diversity is concerned no university in India can beat LPU. In future we are expecting lpu will get more placements due to more diversity which the company recruiters need. Lab and filed work is also good. There are student organization in Agriculture also AGRINIANS and agros you can also join in it for developing your skills. LPU is just like the more reap the more you get. Good luck !

The most significant thing which should be emphasized is that LPU is the first private university which has been approved by ICAR.I along with my cousins had visited the fields, labs. In order to infuse understanding on emerging problems and technologies involved in agriculture field visits are conducted to neighbouring farms, orchards and nurseries. Not only subject related education is imparted but also the professional enhancement is added by the university through the different courses like soft skills and communication skills. Major Highlights of the programme that I would be highlighting over here are as follows: a) The course would impart knowledge and understanding of fundamental concepts and techniques of maintaining and enhancing soil fertility, crop production, crop management, crop improvement, biodiversity and sustainability of agriculture worldwide. b) The course would develop the ability to know farming practices and their scope to improve in the rural areas and the environments. c) It would help in applying the knowledge of basic science through Agricultural microbiology, Plant biochemistry and Biotechnology. d) It will focus on application of knowledge of Agri-business management and finance to develop profitable agricultural system. e) 19.25 LPA PLACEMENT OFFERED IN PANDEMIC BY DE SHAW LPU students have got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics and many more. Student of Lovely Professional University, Kavita Faman, a final year student of M.Sc. Agriculture (Agronomy), has bagged a package of Rs 1 crore. The package has been offered by Monsanto, global leaders in agrochemicals and now part of the crop sciences division of the Bayer G are lot of government job available for agricultural graduates in different sectors like FCI ,KVK, CCI ,ATMA, IFFCO ,NABARD ,RBI etc. The following are the key job opportunities in BSc in Agriculture : Job Roles for Agriculture Graduates. UPSC (Indian Forest Service) IFS. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) IBPS Specialists Officer (AO) Food Corporation of India (FCI) Jobs.

Indian Council of Agriculture Research every year conducts Admission tests followed by counseling and scholarships to deserving candidates in all the Central and State Agricultural Universities in India. The examination is termed as AIEEA. Besides this many state Agricultural Universities conduct separate entrance tests to admit students in agricultural and related disciplines. For example Uttar Pradesh conducts CATET exam for Admission in three Universities in U.P. CSAU andT , Kanpur, NDUA and T, Faizabad and CCSUA, Meerut. ICAR conducts a entrance exam to get admission in various agriculture colleges .If u get a rank or a/c to you merit u are asked to choose a college. But there are some universities which conducted their own entrance exam like Aacharya NG ranga agricultural university, Banaras Hindu university and Lovely Professional University (LPUNEST). BSc Agriculture is a 4-year undergraduate degree awarded by Indian Universities for 10+2 students preferably with Science stream. B. Sc. in Agriculture is considered as a professional degree by the Government of India. The course is not so popular among students but the demand for trained professionals in agriculture is very high. Well, the Eligibility for BSc In Agriculture is to get Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent with LPU NEST. Keeping in sync with the concept I found LPU course curriculum very employable. It believes in building expertise through well planned on-field implementation and testing of basic concepts in production, yield enhancement disease resistant and better shelf life of food and flora. Creating professionals to tackle the dogma from seed to stomach. It runs B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture Programme ie for 4 years. LPU is a first private University having ICAR accreditation. ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) co-ordinates agricultural education and research in the country under the aegis of Ministry of Agriculture (Govt. of India). LPU School of Agriculture has been granted accreditation by the National Agricultural Education Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, making it the first and only private University in the country to receive the accreditation.
