There are a lot of options after completing B.Tech with Mechanical Engineering. However, picking a career path after graduation must depend on your preferences. If yu want to study further then you can apply for the coming session's GATE exam.
1. GATE is the entrance exam that not only allows you to appear for various colleges offering M.Tech programmes but also enables you to appear for the selection process of reputed PSUs including BHEL, THDC, etc.
2. You can also look for jobs in the private sector. With quite a flourished automobile industry in India, you can apply for companies like TATA Motors, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Bosch, etc.
3. Government Entrances for the post of officers; there are various entrance exams conducted by organizations like Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), DMRC, etc. that will allow your to sit for vacancies that come up in these organizations. Mechanical Engineering is a branch of engineering that has numerous opportunities in the government sector.
4. Indian Engineering Services (IES): you can also apply for the IES exam that recruits officers for various technical government organizations.
5. If you so wish, you can also apply for job in different profiles other than Mechanical Engineering including Corporate sector or defense services.
