Being a student of LPU, I think I can provide you with an honest opinion. Though I'm not pursuing my BSc in agriculture, I do have many friends who are pursuing the same.The Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) is LPUNEST or CUET and Pass with 60% aggregate marks in:10+2 or Intermediate (with English*, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) LPU is accredited by ICAR. It is the 1st private university to get accredited by ICAR(Indian Council of Agricultural Research). BSc. Agriculture degree offers a number of avenues for growth. The graduates desirous of specializing may opt for a master’s program. The Undergraduate Degree in BSc. Agriculture consists of few core subjects such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Genetics, Plant Pathology, Land Surveying, Entomology Horticulture, Physiology, Food Science, water resource management, and Animal Products management. A number of subjects such as Economics, Meteorology, Technology, Business, and Production Management are studied in close reference to the subject. A large part of the agriculture programme is based in practice inculcated via field trips, study tours, and projects. A BSc. graduate is expected to master concepts like macro-micro crop planning, Agri-financing and agricultural statistics and use them extensively. LPU is the 1st private university that got approval from ICAR. (i). The School of Agriculture is approved for accreditation for a period of five years with a GPAC of 3.42 (ii) The following degree programmes were approved for accreditations for a period of five years BSc. (Hons.) Agriculture Placement: Students of the School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio Seed, Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Sanra organics, and many more. The maximum package offered for in Agri. at LPU is 19.25 LPA and the average package is 3.4 LPA. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to all students with good academic records, sports, or extracurricular activities achievement. LPU also helps students in the Education loan facility. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from top-ranked universities all over the world. Infrastructure: All the facilities are available on the campus itself, a student does not need to go outside for anything. On the campus, Central Library, Hospital facility is available 24*7 for staff and students, Shopping mall, Indoor Sports Stadium with 3 Olympic size Swimming Pools, Public/Private Sector Banks, ATM, etc. Ranking: 1. At LPU the minimum age required for enrolling in the is 16yrs. Merit in qualifying examination LPUNEST, subject to eligibility criteria. Agriculture is a four year Agriculture degree programme which produces graduates with broad understating of Agriculture and allied science with broad understanding of agriculture related problems and got expertise through well planned on-field implementation, basic concepts in disease, insect pest, weeds and nutrient disorders to enhance the production. Eligibility Criteria to take admission in this programme is Qualifying LPUNEST and Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English*, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR (b) 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR (c) 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent Condition of English as a subject may be waived off provided the candidate has studied in English medium. There is 5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.

Fees: the fees for MBA program is 120000 per semester but there is scholarship on the basis of entrance test that is Lpunest , national level exams like CAT, MAT, XAT., financial aid like need basis, defence basis and many more. If you still think that fees is little to high then there is a facility of student loan facility and you can do part time job side by side to recover the amount and to helping your parents. Placement: Students of the School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio Seed, Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Sanra organics, and many more. The maximum package offered for in Agri. at LPU is 19.25 LPA and the average package is 3.4 LPA.
