My son will get approximate 75 marks in IAT, will he get admission in any IISER for any stream up to the last round

A score of 75 marks in IAT 2025 is expected to be equivalent to a rank range of 1500-2000. In recent years, the last round closing ranks for IISER Berhampur (the newest IISER) have gone up to around 4484. Still, the corresponding marks for the general category were higher than 75 (closer to 92 in 2024, and expected to be 110 in 2025). There have been occasional admissions in the last rounds for scores in the 70-80 range, but this was when the exam was tougher and competition slightly lower. With the 2025 exam being easier, cutoffs are projected to be higher than last year

For 2025, a score of 75 is below the expected cutoff for all IISERs in the general category. If your son belongs to a reserved category (EWS, OBC, SC, ST), the cutoffs may be lower (for EWS, the expected cutoff is 85-105 marks; for OBC, 80-90 marks; for SC, 70-80 marks).
