Dear Student,

General Psychology is the study of mental behaviours and psychological functions. Here, you learn various theories that shaped the course of psychology, memory learning and personality.

Applied Psychology is a specialised stream where one learns to put the theories and principles of psychology to practical and tangible use in the everyday world.

Both courses are much sought-after and it depends on your interest as to what you shall pursue. While General Psychology course offers more theory, Applied Psychology offers more practice. Usually, most universities offer Applied Psychology course at Master’s level rather than UG level.
