What if I fail 3 subjects in 12th

If you fail in up to two subjects, then the board will allow you to appear in the compartment exam. Other than that, you will have the option to get your answer keys rechecked or to apply for the revaluation. That way your marks might increase or you can pass in that subject. Apart from that, some universities offer admission in diploma courses even if you haven’t passed Class 12. You can check for such diploma courses based on the marks scored in class 10.
