Closing Rank or Cut-off Rank means the last rank till which a candidate is allowed to apply for counselling or admissions in a particular college or programme.

With reference to your question, closing rank in JEE Advanced for B.E. signifies the last rank till which candidates are eligible to apply for admission to the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) course. Candidates with ranks below the closing ranks are not eligible for the same.
