The institute was established in 2004 as SIET and later transformed into the Group of Institutions. It has a student strength of around 3,200 students. Utthan Shambhunath Institutions Prayagraj offers a four-year-long B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering programme, admission to which is based on UPSEE & management quota as per government norms. The fee for this programme is Rs 78,000 per year. The B.Tech scholarships are provided to students with UPSEE rank up to 25,000 or PCM 85% and above, a 50% of tuition fee, and UPSEE rank up to 25,001-50,000 or PCM 75% and above, a 30% of tuition fee. Scholarships will be provided up to the final year if a 75% or higher percentage is maintained for B.Tech.
