Hi…. I don’t have any idea about this institute. School of Agriculture, Lovely Professional University is the first private school accredited by Indian Council of Agricultural Research. LPU offers courses in agriculture ranging from Bachelors degree (B.Sc. Hons Agri) to Doctorate in different specializations in Agriculture. The LPU agriculture programme is outlined and conveyed with a target of wholesome development of students. School of Agriculture offers programs with up to date curriculum designed to suits the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. The school offers world class equipped laboratories, library and faculty for one to one assistance. Special emphasis is given to students for hand on training experience by assigning live projects in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning on different agricultural units. 90% of the students of B.Sc. Agriculture got placed with a maximum package of 23 LPA [DE SHAW INDIA PVT LTD] and an average package of Rs. 3.3 LPA. After completion of the B.Sc agriculture degree, students can find widespread carrier opportunities in agriculture and allied sectors. They can work in different sectors in various capacities such as Project Managers, Agriculture officers, Quality Analysts, Agricultural consultants, Research scientists, and Professors or even start their business and become an agro-entrepreneur. LPU conducts a national level entrance test LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) which is considered for offering Scholarship as well as determining Eligibility for admission in B.Sc. Agriculture and various other programmes. The eligibility for admission to B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture at LPU is Qualifying LPUNEST or CUET and Pass with 60% aggregate marks in:. (a) 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) OR (b) 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR (c) 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent Condition of English as a subject may be waived off provided the candidate has studied in English medium The minimum age to take admission in B.Sc.(Hons.) Being a student of LPU, I think I can provide you with an honest opinion. Though I'm not pursuing my BSc in agriculture, I do have many friends who are pursuing the same. LPU is accredited by ICAR. It is the 1st private university to get accredited by ICAR(Indian Council of Agricultural Research). BSc. Agriculture degree offers a number of avenues for growth. The graduates desirous of specializing may opt for a master’s program. The Undergraduate Degree in BSc. Agriculture consists of few core subjects such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Genetics, Plant Pathology, Land Surveying, Entomology Horticulture, Physiology, Food Science, water resource management, and Animal Products management. A number of subjects such as Economics, Meteorology, Technology, Business, and Production Management are studied in close reference to the subject. A large part of the agriculture programme is based in practice inculcated via field trips, study tours, and projects. A BSc. graduate is expected to master concepts like macro-micro crop planning, Agri-financing and agricultural statistics and use them extensively. LPU is the 1st private university that got approval from ICAR. (i). The School of Agriculture is approved for accreditation for a period of five years with a GPAC of 3.42 (ii) The following degree programmes were approved for accreditations for a period of five years BSc.
