BOT course duration is showing 3-year at CMC Vellore while it is a 4 and half year course in reality, why?

Dear Student,

The total course duration of Bachelor of Occupational Therapy is 4.5 years, comprising a 4-year coursework and 6 months of mandatory field internship period. The Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or BOT course offered at the Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, and across all the other government medical colleges are also of the same course duration.
