After completing a BA LLB, you can become a judge, provided that you satisfy all the eligibility criteria listed below.

  • The candidate must have qualified an LLB from a recognised university.

  • The applicant needs to appear and clear the State Judicial Service Exam.

  • The aspirant must have practised as a lawyer in the high court from 7-10 years. The experience varies from state to state.

  • The aspirant must be an Indian National.

  • The minimum age must not be less than 45 years

The type of Judge you would become depends on the work experience you own and the skill-set you possess. You are most likely to start off your career as a state Subordinate or District Judge.
