Candidates must have passed the class 10 (SSLC) or an equivalent exam from a recognised board with a minimum of 35% overall marks in order to be eligible for the Diploma courses at the Govt. Polytechnic for Women Bangalore. Additionally, they must have scored well in the SSLC examination in science and mathematics as subjects. Candidates must also have completed the Karnataka Diploma Entrance Test (KDET), which is administered by the Karnataka Directorate of Technical Education. For admission to diploma programs at polytechnics in Karnataka, a competitive exam called the KDET is administered. Candidates who completed the SSLC test from outside of Karnataka must have obtained a minimum of 50% in the combined disciplines of Mathematics and Science.
