Pursuing a B. Ed course not only teaches you to inculcate good teaching skills but also how to work in the administrative aspect of an education system. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Sciences or Social Sciences or Humanities or Commerce or equivalent. OR Pass with 55% aggregate marks in B.Tech. or B.E. with specialization in Science and Mathematics or equivalent. (Candidate must have studied the subject of the subject combination for at least three years at Bachelor’s Level or two years Master’s Level) (5% relaxation for SC or ST or BC applicants). The fee structure of the programme is Rs. 50000 per semester without any scholarship for the 2023-24 session. However, LPU provides very good scholarships to bright students based on good academic records, sports, or extracurricular activities achievement, etc. I recommend you visit the LPU website for more details of scholarships. B.Ed or Bachelor of Education is a 2-year professional course that is done after graduation to work as a teacher in schools. According to the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), it is mandatory for all teachers to have a B.Ed degree. The duration of this programme is 2 years. Every university or college has its own eligibility criteria but in LPU the Eligibility Criteria is that candidate must Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Sciences or Social Sciences or Humanities or Commerce or equivalent. OR Pass with 55% aggregate marks in B.Tech. or B.E. with specialization in Science and Mathematics or equivalent. (5% relaxation for SC or ST or BC applicants) Programme fee of this course without scholarship is Rs 50000 per semester. LPU offers number of scholarships on programme fee and student can avail any one scholarship .
