Forensic science : I have filled the form for forensic science Institute of nagpur and aurangabad. I just want to know how much minimum marks I require in hsc board to get admission in those two colleges? Please do advice.

Due to increase in crime rate and criminals, the scope of Forensic Science is increased exponentially. There are lots of job opportunities in the field of Forensic Science. The need of forensic scientists is huge all around the world, especially in India. Some of the forensic scientists visit the crime scene to collect the evidence themselves and another one work in a forensic laboratory to perform analysis on objects. In the forensic laboratory, they testify as expert observers in both criminal and civil cases and can work for either the defense or the prosecution. Forensic scientists can be employed in the government sector. They work in different law enforcement agencies and investigation departments such as police, investigative services of state and central government and legal system. Some of the private agencies also employed those candidates who have some qualification in this field. A trained forensic scientist may hire by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) & Intelligence Bureau (IB). You can also work as a freelancer as forensic scientists specializing in one segment & can be paid much. You can also work as a legal counselor after gaining experience as a Forensic Scientist.

The cut-off and marks required to secure a seat change from year to year depending on the number of students who have applied and the result of board exams. Eligibility Criteria

The student seeking admission to B.Sc. Semester I course examination should have passed 12th standard examination (10+2 Pattern) of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with English and other Modern Indian Languages together with Science or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto in such subject and with such 5 standard of attainments as may be prescribed and securing not less than 45% marks for open category and not less than 40% marks for reserved category.

In case, of B.Sc. Semester II, III, IV, V and VI Examination: The student should have attended a minimum of 90 days in the respective semesters as per the rules of ATKT
