holidays question : hello, are students allowed to stay here in hostel after ETE,i.e, winter breaks,till next semister starts?? do they charge for staying during holidays??.. thanks

Hello Everyone, As you know hostel fee is for one academic session i.e for the 10 months. Fee structure may be changes every year. Holidays fee is not added in hostel fee. I would suggest you to contact the concerned authority for the detail information for staying hostel during breaks. Hope this helps..

Dear student,the hostel fees are for 10 months which does not include holiday, so in order to stay at hostel you have to pay extra for those many days. Moreover, the policy and fees changes every year, I would recommend to check the LPU website.Thank You!!

LPU hostel fee is of Academic year which is of 10 months excluding holidays. If you are staying at hostels during that time, you need to pay the additional amount for that time. There are 17 multi stories Hostels including Luxury Apartments available in the LPU. . Each hostel has it own entrance and exit, dedicated Wardens, Maintenance staff, Mess, Tuck Shop and what not. Apart from all the liesures in the LPU Hostels, there are few restrictions and strict for the safety and security concern. LPU residential services are considered as one the largest in INDIA. Hostel fee is for 10 months. There will be holidays after 10 months student allowed in hostel 2 days after last exam.

You may get very few holiday’s in between the semester and may get consumed and busy with the other activities. Holidays are given to the students after the end of the every semester. However the duration of the holidays differs in both the semesters. For students at Lovely Professional University, they can enjoy a long vacation after they are done with their semester exams in the month of May(almost 2 months). Then there are national holidays only which are for one or two days only. Winter Vacations or Winter break is very short, It may get started at the last week of the month of December as your course exams get over and end after 10th of January as your classes will get started for the even semester. Summer Vacations or Summer Break is very long, It’ll get started in the last week of May as soon as you get finished up with your exams and it goes on for a duration of more than 2 long months and ends in the second week of August as per the scheduled for the re-opening for different courses. During your winter break, you are permitted to stay in the LPU hostel, but you must obtain permission and pay an additional daily fee for your lodging, food, and other amenities. The residential fees you have paid typically cover a complete academic year, which is 10 months long (excluding breaks). For proper information you can go through the academic calendar published by the university in UMS.

I believe you will have to pay extra for staying more than 10 months i.e. for vacations. This will be because the hostel and mess fees is conventionally taken excluding the holidays.
