M.Sc Mathematics is a two-year postgraduate degree course divided into four semesters. The degree programme is designed to provide the students in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematics and incorporates reasoning, thinking, and research in the minds of students. In LPU, eligibility criteria of this course is pass with 60% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) (with Mathematics as a subject) or B.Tech. or B.E. or B.Sc. (Engineering) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. 5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants. Programme Fee (per semester) Rs 80000 without scholarship. LPU offers numerous scholarships on the basis of percentage in previous qualifying exam, LPUNEST exam , National Level Exam like JAM, performance in Innovation, Start-up, Entrepreneurship & Hackathons., basis of Performance in Sports, Cultural, R & D, Co-curricular, Social Service, Bravery Awards, Special scholarship for board toppers, Financial Aid – Need based i.e Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and special categories that includes Single Girl Child, Single Mother, Students from Minorities, Transgender, and Non-Traditional Student, Financial Aid for Serving/Retired Defence/CAPF/Para – Military Personnel and their Dependants, Financial Aid to Persons with certain disability and orphans. Hostel fee varies according to the facility you avail as LPU offers standard rooms, apartments and dormitory (for males) in sharing from 1,2,2,3,4,5,6 seater as fee varies according to that. Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme.In order to be eligible for the course, the students must complete his/her graduation from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% score . LPU conducts LPU NEST for all the programmes. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility and scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. MSc mathematics admission has begun in the month of April 2022. There are two modes of admission, one is direct admission and the other is through the entrance exams. It depends on the college you choose. The application forms are out for many universities and the admissions are on. But yes in order to be eligible for the MSc mathematics admission you must have completed your graduation from a recognised university.
