How is the hostel and food there?

Hi…. I don’t have any idea about this institute. Lovely Professional University established in 2005 is one of the premier institutes of education in India. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and comprises more than 20 schools offering diploma, undergraduate, post-graduate and, doctoral programmes in 200+ recognized disciplines engineering, management, pharmacy, social science, hotel management, all in one campus having an extra edge in curriculum and facilities with the best staff and faculty. The University has hostel accommodation for 28,000 students. LPU's residential Facilities are indeed exceptionally well organised and maintained. The hostel administration here is very cooperative and caring. When it comes to Home like Healthy stay LPUs residential Facilities are excellent in all terms. LPU residential facilities are considered one the largest in India. There are 17 multi storeyed Hostels including Apartments. Residential facility at campus is the safest and secure as 24 X 7 X 365 security is available and CCTVs are installed at all prominent locations throughout the campus. LPU has zero tolerance to Ragging, Alcohol, smoking, drug and disciplinary misconduct. LPU is totally a veg campus with zero tolerance for non-veg within the university premises. LPU campus is loaded with several food courts, where you can enjoy your food as well as the company of your friends, at the same time. The food rates are fixed keeping the ‘students’ in mind. Thus, the prices are totally budget-friendly. At LPU mess the menu is decided in such a way that it meets all the nutritional requirements. A balanced diet is planned including variety of foods. In order to provide students with more flexibility and increased choice of food varieties, LPU provides more options to the students in selecting the mess, flexible food options etc. The details of various options being provided to the students are: Choice of Menu: Standard menu The standard food menu is the same existing option being provided for breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea with snack with unlimited quantity for most of the items. Basic Menu The students are now also given to opt for Basic Food menu which will have limited items with fixed quantity for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner only (No tea with snacks will be available in Basic food menu). Choice of food (North Indian food or South Indian food) North Indian food The students have a choice of North Indian food in both Standard menu and Basic menu. Regional (South Indian) food The students have a choice of Regional (South Indian) Food in Standard menu and Basic menu. Students are provided with flexible options to choose their preferred mess (within hostel or outside hostel), choice in food varieties and option to avail lunch near respective academic block in case sufficient number of students opt for the same.

LPU focuses on giving a balanced diet to the students as per nutrients needed. The menu is full of sumptuous variety Understanding individuals appetite, palate and food preferences LPU designs various options of food for the children.It has North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthani, and many other regional messes. A student can choose the food as per his or her taste. The quality of food is good. Parathas, Butter, Curd, Milk, Tea are served at breakfast. LPU campus is so huge that you will easily find more than 400 kiosks within the campus from which you can have anything you want to eat. The hostel mess provides very tasty food. The food supervisor regularly conduct inspections in mess to ensure the hygiene and quality of food served to students. The have food menu specially customized for students belonging to different zones. There are too many options to choose from. Even if you want to skip a meal, then also you can pay less accordingly. LPU also has a non-veg mess ( third party vendor) so you can opt for the plans accordingly. If on some days you don't feel like having a meal in mess then you can go to UNIMALL which has CCD, Dominos or you can order on phone and they will deliver at your hostel.

Some of the facilities that are given in the hostels of LPU are Bed (Iron or Wooden Box), Almirah,Plastic Chair,Study Table,AC/ Cooler (As Applicable),Geyser,Attached Washroom,Mess Facility. In the LPU, there are 17 multi-story hostels, including luxury apartments. Each hostel has its own entrance and exit, as well as a mess, a tuck shop, and dedicated wardens and maintenance staff. In addition to all the amenities in the LPU Hostels, there are a few rules and regulations for reasons of safety and security. One of the biggest residential services in India is LPU. Here is your response: 1. Common room equipped with cable TV. 2. Ambulance service. 3. 24 X 7 Power Supply 4. 24 X 7 water supply. 5. Water cooler with a water purifier for safe drinking water. 6. 24 X 7 Security. 7. Wi-Fi Connectivity. 8. ATM’s within the hostel. 9. CCTV Support. 10. Tuck shops within the Hostels. 11. Many eating joints are near by Hostels at the walking distance. 12. Photostat (Xerox) shop is available within the hostel building. 13. 24 X 7 Maintenance support staff. etc

LPU campus is a mini city in itself. There is an electricity backup and water supply. In addition to it, staff assistance and medical service (Medicines and tests On Payment). Study Room, TV Room, Lift Facility, Fire Fighting System, Purified Water Facility, Maintenance Services, Wi-Fi Service, Free Electricity Units (As Applicable). There are 24 hr. electricity backup Water Supply, and services available. There are mess services, laundry services, dedicated parking, departmental store, cafeteria, saloon for boys, printing and copier machines, shops in all hostels, Guest Rooms, Car Wash Facility, Shopping Mall, and Tuck Shops. You name it and you have it. Food: From ala carte to regional mess, the LPU hostel has all. It has North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthani, and many other regional messes. A student can choose the food as per his or her taste. The quality of food is good. Parathas, Butter, Curd, Milk, Tea are served at breakfast. At lunch, Dry Vegetables, Dal, any Gravy item, Rice, Chapati, and Raita are served. In dinner Chapati, Seasonal Vegetables, Rice and Desserts are served. Rooms: LPU has a hostel from 1 seater to 6 Seater including the Ac and Non AC. To maintain cleanliness, rooms are cleaned about 23 times per month. The room has an Air Conditioner, attached washroom, and Geyser in each room. Wooden Box Bed, Study Table, Chair, and Almirah. Students have to seek permission to use electrical gadgets having a maximum load of up to 5 amperes per apartment. One and two Seater apartments have attached lobby and kitchenette. Safety : As far as the security of female students is concerned, LPU is one of the safest campuses. Huge army of security personnel has been deployed all over the campus who keep a round-the-clock vigil. The campus is ragging-free, drug-free, and tobacco-free. If someone has a problem in connection with the residential facilities room, one can complain. The hostel management looks into the matter and resolves it at the earliest.

 IMI Kolkata provides hostel facilities with the option of single or twin occupancy, as well as executive rooms.
