Dear student,

In order to make a career in Tamil journalism, you will have to pursue the course of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication (B.J.M.C.) in the regional language of Tamil. You can also opt for a diploma course in Tamil. As the scope of journalism is quite wide, courses are offered at many levels starting from certificate and diploma to postgraduate programmes. You can continue studying journalism for as many levels as you wish to.

Annamalai University in Tamil Nadu offers the programme of diploma in Tamil Journalism. For being eligible for the course, you will have to complete your higher secondary (class 12th) education and must be fluent in Tamil. There are not many reputed colleges that offer journalism courses in Tamil.
