A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences was established in 1985. It is a private college. It was ranked third best private dental college in India in the Hansa Research Survey 2021. It is recognised by the Dental Council of India and the Malaysian Dental Council. It is affiliated to Okayama University Dental School, Japan.
