In CPGET exam is there no microbiology or applied microbiology?

Dear Student,

The CPGET exam does include Microbiology but not as a standalone subject. The paper typically conducted under a combined entrance test labeled BCESFSG&M (Biochemistry, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Genetics, and Microbiology). TG CPGET 2026 exam pattern consists of a 100-mark paper where Part A includes compulsory Chemistry carrying 40 marks, and Part B carrying 60 marks allows you to choose Microbiology as your optional subject based on your B.Sc. background. Applied Microbiology is not listed as a separate entrance category, but its core components, such as industrial, medical, and agricultural microbiology, are included in the main Microbiology syllabus. This allows you to specialize in applied fields once you secure admission into any of the CPGET participating colleges.

We hope this answers your query. If you have further queries regarding college/ course admission, you can write to hello@collegedekho.com or call our toll free number 18005729877, or simply fill out our Common Application Form on the website.
