Bachelor of Physiotherapy or BPT is an undergraduate programme that deals with the structure of the human body. The duration of this course is four years and once the duration of the programme is over, students are required to complete a six months internship. Physiotherapy is a kind of treatment that is carried through physical forces such as heat, electricity, mechanical pressure, and mechanical forces. Physical therapy is done in order to maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout the lifespan. Therapy helps to treat disorders without using drugs. Physiotherapists have a thorough understanding of the human anatomy and the intricacies of bones, muscles and nerves. LPU BPT is approved by IAP ( Indian Association of Physiotherapy), moreover LPU has its own hospital in which you can have practical knowledge of the same. This builds up the confidence of the student and make them more familiar with their work. LPU also has a good placement cell of this department which is not at all fake. Students can attain positions in sports training centres, health and fitness centres, hospitals, physiotherapy & rehabilitation centres, spastic societies and special schools. Opportunities also include pursuing higher studies in reputed universities in India and abroad. Students can also avail jobs in health insurance and medical coding companies.
