Dear Student,

Kashmiri Migrants benefit from supernumerary seats (extra seats) in NITs, meaning you aren't competing for the regular seats. The cutoffs for the KM quota are lower than the General category because the applicant pool is very small.

  • Top NITs (e.g., Trichy, Surathkal, Warangal):

    • CSE: Ranks can go up to 40,000 – 60,000.

    • Other Branches: Ranks often range from 70,000 to 1,20,000+.

  • Middle & Lower NITs (e.g., NIT Srinagar, Agartala, Sikkim):

    • CSE: Ranks often close around 90,000 – 1,30,000.

    • Core Branches: Ranks frequently exceed 2,00,000 – 3,50,000+.
