Acquiring the ability to identify, investigate, understand and analyze complex problems pertaining to industries and identify effective solution strategies for implementation. MSc Microbiology is a four semester program, to enable graduate students to pursue doctoral studies or professional employment, through imparting in depth knowledge in specific areas of Microbiology along with three semester dissertation. At LPU the eligibility for the program is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Bachelor's Degree ( Applied Medical Science or Medical Science and Allied Medical or Agriculture or Biosciences or Microbiology or Food Science or Medical Lab. Technology or Life Sciences or Veterinary Microbiology and Parasitology or Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology or Clinical Chemistry or Public Health and Allied Sciences or Plant Science) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or JAM. The maximum salary the students got was 6 lpa and 2.8 lpa was the average salary.
