Hi,
Doctors refer the patients to medical labs so that they may get tested and correct diagnosis can be made. Medical lab technicians or the MLT professionals, by testing samples of urine, blood, stool or other body tissues, make the correct diagnosis and send the report back to the Doctor.
It is important that you have a science background at the 10+2 level to further enroll for a programme in the related field. You can either opt for a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree course that is of a three-year duration or you a diploma course that is of a one or two year duration depending on the college you pick. Apart from that, certificate courses are also available.
