Dear Student,

Germany has many good colleges for pursuing a postgraduate programme in medicine. However, you must ensure that the medical college from where you pursue the course is MCI approved so that your degree is valid in India as well.

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements in order to be eligible or to apply for a Medical Postgraduate programme from Germany:

  • The candidate must have attempted ‘approbation exam’. After clearing this exam, the licence is issued to medical students, which allows them to work in Germany.
  • A good command over German language is required by the applicant, in order to communicate with local patients. In this case, an A1 or A2 level in Basics of German language will help make the candidate eligible.
  • Candidate must have the Certificate of Medical Council Registration.
  • Candidate must have done internship in Medical field and must have its certificate as a proof.
  • MBBS Degree Certificate (Or Equivalent).
  • Candidate must have these documents- Police Clearance Certificate, Birth Certificate and Passport.

There may be other requirements depending upon the colleges where you apply. We suggest that you shortlist some colleges in Germany where you would like to study so that we can give you further and more specific details.

All the Best!
