In order to get admission to the Ph.D course, you have to appear for the UGC NET (University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test) exam. Universities conduct their own Research Entrance Test (RET) for admitting students to their Ph.D programmes, therefore you will have to check the details of the entrance exam conducted by the universities you are targetting for taking admission.
