Question regarding admisdion : I have not given my class 12 exams. My class 10 % is 74.6. My diploma in electrical engineering % is 81. Do I have to give LPUNEST exam or am I eligible for direct admission? Am I eligible for availing scholarship?

First of all let me clear one thing that you need to give the LPUNEST exam for sure , you can take admission in b.tech lateral entry if you have done diploma of three year after 10th or 12th what so ever. If you wants to do b.tech then in that case you can take admission lateral entry and also need to give entrance exam but if you are interested in taking admission in any other course like b.com , bba , bca or so on. eligibility criteria for b.tech:- 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) 3 years after 10th Or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) Or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) Or B.Sc. (Computer Science) Or BCA or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.

Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for the same programme. As per the eligibility for B.tech lateral entry is to get Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. So, qualifying the same you can proceed for Admissions. LPUNEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of Eligibility and Scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. So, this LPUNEST serves both the purposes. Also, if you have qualified LPUNEST for Eligibility purpose, you can also improve your score for Scholarship purpose as well. One of my cousin applied for admission in LPU recently and he told me that LPU has made mandatory to appear and clear LPUNEST for admission to any B-tech course. LPUNEST is eligibilty and scholarship criteria for admission in LPU now a days.LPU offers many scholarships on various parameters and one of them is based on your performance in LPUNEST. In some courses LPUNEST is mandatory but in others it is for scholarships. Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance on any of the following categories: 1. Eligibility Qualification The scholarship will also be offered on the basis of Eligibility qualification. 2. Certain National Level Tests (like JEE (Main), NEET, UCEED, CAT, MAT, GATE, GPAT etc.) 3. LPUNEST: (LPU National Entrance & Scholarship Test) 4. Performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Service and Bravery Awards 5. Earlier, LPUNEST was for admissison but now it will be taken by university for scholarship purpose only after admission. The scholarships provided by LPU helps students for their career without monetary constraints. Hi, As per the LPU website, the eligibility for B.tech Lateral Entry is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) LPU offers different types of scholarships on the basis of marks in either of the last two qualifications, LPUNEST, Sports, Defence, COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship, and many more. If you are eligible for more than one scholarship, only one scholarship you will get is the maximum one. The best thing is if you get the scholarship, the tuition fees after getting a scholarship will be applicable every semester except a few types of scholarships. Dear Applicant, If you are looking for further admission in LPU in B.Tech - Electrical Engineering Lateral Entry, you can process your admission online, as you are eligible for admission as per scores in Diploma and class 10th. There is No entrance exam for this course. Also, as per your score in Diploma, i.e 81% you are also eligible for scholarship as well. The sooner you apply, the maximum scholarship you will get. Also further if you wish to avail maximum scholarship you can apply for LPUNEST. Yes, definitely based on your qualification and your interest, you can apply for the admissions in B.Tech. lateral entry programme without any entrance exam. Also, based on your percentage in diploma you can avail a good amount of scholarship which will be 40 percentage of the programe fee.
