Dear Student,

Ophthalmic technicians give eye examinations, fit patients with eye lenses and manage patients. Courses for this career are generally taken as part of a certificate or full degree program.

To become Ophthalmologists you have to first complete MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course and then go for the postgraduate degree in ophthalmology like MS (Master of Surgery), MD (Doctor of Medicine), etc. After completing PG course in this field, you can also pursue doctoral courses in this field.

For joining this course, you should have 50% marks in Class 12 and a valid score in NEET.
