Why is LPU not AICTE approved?

- AshishUpdated On November 06, 2020 07:26 PM

Lovely Professional University is recognized by the University Grants Commission(UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India.AICTE approval is not required for a university to run a course in technical education as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in its judgment CWP2056 of 1999 titled BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY & ANR. V/S ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION & ORS, and various other cases. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)

Dear student,

As LPU (Lovely Professional University) is a bonafide university that was established by a State Act, it does not require the approval of the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). It is mandatory for universities to be recognised and approved by the UGC (University Grants Commission). Hence, they do not require the AICTE's approval to run their courses by law.

LPU has been approved by the UGC and therefore, it does not need to be approved by the AICTE to teach engineering courses. The engineering and technology courses of LPU are widely popular and fetch the best placement results of the university every year.

Please give us a call on our toll-free student helpline number 1800-572-9877 in case you have any queries and you wish to speak to one of our counsellors.

Thank you.

There will be no problem in your higher studies as it is UGC approved and the degree of LPU is valid in all the countries. You need not to worry, about your certification. LPU is a well renowned university, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international. LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. The students also work on live projects, so that they are able to apply their knowledge to practical settings. It is one of the few that has embraced international practices when it comes to designing a curriculum. Instead of using old school books and lectures, LPU has experimented with books, interactive problem-solving interactions and working through real-world applications. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement with the help of a dedicated Division of Career Services. The university has been ranked high by various outer agencies with regard to placements. LPU is conferred with National Employ-ability Award 2020 by Aspiring Minds for the 7th time in a row for having Most Employable Students and being one among the top colleges and universities in India with one of the highest Employ-ability rates.

Dear Ashish, That is because AICTE is not the right regulatory body for Universities. Since LPU is a private university set up u/s 2f of UGC act, It is regulated by Universities Grants Commission. The AICTE is a body which regulates the colleges which then seek affiliation fro any university. Hope this helps DVD
