Being an LPU alumni, I am well versed with the fact that LPU has a dynamic education system and offers quality education. LPU goes hand-in-hand to keep up up with the pace of advancements and new technologies. And same is taught and inculcated to the students, how to adapt, learn and become efficient in this fast growing technological environment. About ECE I will share some programme highlights: School of Electronics & Electrical Engineering (SEEE) is one of the prominent schools of the LPU which has always been aspiring to generate industry ready engineers in the field of Electronics, Electrical and Communication engineering. ECE is an Engineering program which ensures learning of basic concepts and relevant practices with a choice of specializations such as Communication systems, Signal Image processing, Embedded/VLSI design and Artificial intelligence to be successful entrepreneurs, do corporate jobs and higher studies. LPU offers Industry Immersion To enable the students to keep pace with changing technological advances, the university has industrial tie-ups with various industries. Studying these courses as a part of the curriculum would provide a WILD CARD entry to industry. LPU also provides the option to choose the Engineering Minors A set of 4 to 6 elective courses in engineering to enhance competency in the technical and/or emerging domain. (e.g for electronic and electrical- students taking courses in automobile/ robotics/ cybersecurity to build competency in this area). ECE student, placed at a Package of 46.4 Lakhs with E-commerce Giant Amazon.com, Inc. another student from ECE department, LPU, who got selected in Silicon Labs.

Dear student,

If you have a keen interest in electronics and communication systems, their development and repair, ECE degree is what you should take up. A large amount of emphasis is given to science and applied mathematics in order to solve problems in the field of communication. Electronic communications engineers engage in research, design, development and testing of the electronic equipment used in various communications systems. It is due to electrical engineers that we enjoy such modern communication devices as cellular telephones, radios and television.

Depending on which college you pursue your engineering from, packages and placements will differ in each case. Popular government institutes like IITs and NITs attract big companies at the time of placements and offer handsome packages to students. However, the average starting salary for an electronics and communications engineer is Rs. 4 lac per annum.
