For getting admission at LPU Firstly, you have to fulfill the eligibility condition specified for particular program and then you can apply online by following the steps: Step 1 - Signup/Register onto LPUADMIT with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password). Your email id will act as your username for the portal and password will be set by you while registering on the portal. Your application ID will be generated. STEP 2 - Apply LPUNEST (Entrance and Scholarship Test), Deposit the test fee and Fill the test application form. STEP 3 - Book the Exam Slot and Appear. Book the slot (preferred venue, date and time) to appear in the LPUNEST Exam. Appear and qualify the exam. STEP 4 - Result and Seat Allotment (Online Counselling) Get your scorecard/ rank. Fill the seat preference. The student can give preferences which can vary in stream and programme. In the first round of counselling, depending upon the seat availability and preferences filled by the candidates, a particular preference number would be allotted. Download the allotment letter and proceed for admission step. STEP 5 - Admission Deposit initial payment of Rs.10000. After the successful realization of the payment: A Unique Provisional Registration No. will be generated and sent to your registered Email ID. Upload the documents. Recent Photograph Matriculation Marksheet Qualifying exam Certificate/ Marksheet. Address Proof All the submitted documents are to be verified from the originals within the prescribed timelines. Deposit the balance fee within the timelines prescribed by the university.

Well, it depends upon the programme you would like to take admission in. What eligibility criteria it follows. If the eligibility says subject to qualifying LPUNEST then you have to clear the entrance exam. In addition to qualifying it also provides you a good amount of scholarship if you score well. In case the eligibility of the programme says Pass or only states some percentage criteria, only then LPUNEST will not be a mandatory to qualify. Still in this case, a candidate has an option to appear for LPUNEST just for the sake of scholarship purposes. As “LPUNEST” is short for “Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship test”. In my opinion a candidate should appear for this exam even if it is not mandatory, the reason behind that is, there is a chance that you can avail a good scholarship. Hope I have answered your query. Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers more than 150 courses, and there are certain eligibility criteria that a student is required to meet to take admission. In general, the score in the previous qualification should be as required as per eligibility mentioned on the website. In addition to that, the candidate needs to qualify LPUNEST to get admission to courses like B.Tech., MBA, Hons, B.Pharm, MLT etc.. For some courses like BA, B.Comm, BBA etc LPUNEST is not mandatory. Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, first of all decide the programme that you want to join and check its Eligibility criteria for Admission. LPU conducts LPU NEST for all the programmes. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility and scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. For most of the programmes, it serves both the purposes. As per the official website of LPU, the Schedule for LPU NEST has been started for all the programmes for this current session I. e 2023. As far as Scholarship is concerned, the amount of scholarship depends on the fee of the programme, date of admission and performance of the student in LPU NEST.
