As a Alumni i might be biased but the reality is LPU is really doing good also in Multimedia, Gaming and Graphics First of all There is separate Department Called Multimedia which comes under school of design III. This Department has well equipped labs with high end workstations and it has gaming studios also where students can play and test the games on play station, PC and x box platform. Second LPU provides B.design in Gaming ( 4 years) which is started in 2017 and rest of the degrees that is B.design( Multimedia) and B.design( Graphics) are started in 2009 About placements .LPU has centralized system of placements and multimedia department has very good record in placements from last 8 years. As per the B.design ( Gaming ) Course , this year the first batch will get passed out and as per the show reels of students they will defiantly will get a good place in industry . Otherwise Multimedia students of LPU has campus placements in companies like Amazon ( as 3d Artist), Rockstar games, Kony India, xentrix studio, Dq entertainment, Prime focus, Green gold animation and more. after b.design in multimedia and graphics and even masters degrees also. Faculties are well experienced and specialized and everyone from industry having More than 8 to 10 years of experience in their respective field .everyone is so helpful and good mentors. Reality is LPU is always give platform of placement to students even they give soft skills and personality development classes also so students of creative field also do well in presentations of their work and designs. even I got campus placement in prime focus but i did freelancing of motion graphics from there I opened my venture. The environment is so good in department. 98 % are practical based courses as per the industry standards. in gaming also they are teaching UNITY, level designing, programming 3d and 2d visualization , game testing, game art, character designing and so on. Every syllabus is benchmarked with foreign universities and studios also. B.Design degree from Lovely Professional Univerisity is the best course to pursue. student worked in Red Dead redemption 2 and now working in GTAVI. As his feedbacks, I would like to recommend that LPU is one of the best places in India for Multimedia, Graphics, and Gaming. The faculty members are from the industry like red chilies Studios, Prime focus studios and they have experience of more than 15 years. The multimedia department has a separate block and has well-equipped labs with dell workstations to handle high-end software like adobe after effects, Unity Maya, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, Nuke, Fusion, Z brush, photoshop, etc. Even the department has good quality of resources like Black magic cinemas cameras, canon cameras, trolly, jib, and well-equipped special VFX studio with permanent Chroma backgrounds. Placements are also great. This year also his friends and juniors got placed in companies like Amazon, rockstar games, Kony India, Xentrix studios, Lolly POP Design Studio etc. With average packages of 5 Lacs per annum and maximum packages are 8 to 10 Lakh Gaming started in 2017 Department has seprate Gaming studio also where students can play and test the games on Ps4 and xbox 360+ department focus from Game design to execution with complete production pipelineits 95 percent practical based course with hands-on experience with software like unity, Maya, Substance painter , zbrush etc and live projects too
