Dear student,

These are few pre-requisites that you should follow/ be eligible for to get admission in ANITS Engineering college under the Management quota.

Academic Qualification:

  • You should have passed Class 12th (Intermediate) from a recognised board (like AP Government recognised board)
  • You should have have secured an aggregate score of of 45% in qualifying subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
  • For NRI candidates (sons and daughters of NRIs), the requirement is not less than 50% of marks in the prescribed group subjects or 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination, or a CGPA equivalent to 5 on a scale of 10

2. Entrance Exams:

  • You must qualify for the AP EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test). While Category A seats are filled purely based on EAMCET rank and counselling, for Management Quota, a valid EAMCET score is still a prerequisite
  • The ANITS Visakhapatnam management quota cut-off rank will generally be higher compared to that of convener (Category A) admissions
  • For NRI seats (up to 15% of sanctioned intake), you must have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 50% marks. The remaining unfilled NRI seats may be filled with eligible candidates who have qualified in the EAMCET examination on a merit basis, following the eligibility criteria

3. Age Limit:

  • You should have completed 16 years of age as of December 31st of the admission year. There is no upper age limit

4. Application Process for Management Quota (Category B):

  • You need to apply separately for management/NRI quota seats
  • This can be done by registering on the official ANITS website or by contacting the admission office
  • Fill out the online application with personal and academic details
  • Submit any necessary documents as requested
  • Pay the application fees (e.g., a non-refundable registration fee of ₹5,000 approx)

Key Points to Remember:

  • Seat Distribution: 70% of B.Tech seats are filled under the Convener Quota (Category A) through AP EAMCET counseling, and the remaining 30% are filled by the Institute under the Management/NRI Quota (Category B)
  • Merit Basis: Admissions under the management quota are generally on a merit basis, considering academic performance and the availability of seats

NOTE: The admissions are conducted as per the guidelines issued by the APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education) and the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
